Well, Left 4 Dead is going to be released to the world in a couple of hours now, and we thought we'd get this party started with a guide on the game. I've put quite a few hours into it trying to get it ready for game launch and as always, I'm looking for any suggestions or additions to the body of work. CBW Gaming is happy to present...

Note:

If you pre-purchased, make sure your trying to run the GAME and not the DEMO.

Saves you some headache.

The tips looks great on paper but when I tried to apply it last night with

|CBW|Nizzem
|CBW|Kenshin
H.Guderian and myself we got slaughtered over and over.

but there was this one sweet time we took out a tank on expert without any casualties, as well the tank hacks. Ask Nizzem it through a rock THROUGH the warehouse walls where we we're bunkered in, then threw a lift @ me after being ressurected 10 seconds previous.

Should really get a list of who is playing this game was alot of fun took 3 hours to beat the first campaign on expert/advanced (we had to turn down the difficulty because we were being slaughtered :S)

man, i just finished the first campaign on normal and it was brutal, cant imagine what it might be like on higher difficulty. might be easier with living teammates though, so it might make up for it.

this game is a BLAST!

I attempted to do the first campaign on the hard level (not expert) with 2 other players and we managed to get to the last section of before giving up for the night. I would highly recommend playing it on hard or expert as its much more fun than the lower levels of difficulty.

I ran through all of the campaigns on advanced and had a blast. I started out on expert but it got frustrating after a while so we switched to advanced. I must say this game is by far the best coop game I have ever played, especially when you have 4 human players with a mic each.

I also just finished trying out the versus mode with Busboybud and it was fantastic... its much more challenging against 4 boss mobs every 30 seconds and human controlled tanks.. almost seems like a race to the safe house when playing as the survivors.

Playing as the infected works really well.. but it's hard to do any real damage unless you work together with the other infected players.

Looking forward to playing with more of you guys. If you haven't bought this game yet..... what the hell are you waiting for?

was playing the first campaign again (No Mercy) last night on expert with Shadowram, Kenshin and H.Guderian we got to the last battle where you have to hold out all you can hear is people screaming in mics (welll I really get into it :S) Kenshin yelling at shadow stop team killing the entire team, guderian going afk to type help me when he is being strangled by a smoker and me demanding we stay on the middle building and watch all corners until the tank comes then its a free for all. lol
The moment I got off and into counter-strike from this one game I had 5 people ask me "Were you just playing one level for 4 hours?" Sadly time does go by THAT quickly when you are playing it.

Ya it was fun. and the only reason people where getting shot by me, is they kept stepping in front of me.

Even when I'm crouched, against a wall, shooting at Zombies the opposite direction, they back into me, clip through me, and get shot.

Need some friendly collision detection going on.

I had the exact same problem last night. I kept getting blasted by my friend cause he was strafe shooting like mad. Most of my damage came from him. Its really easy to shoot a teammate when so many things are going on. The other thing I noticed and it amuses me is that when one person goes down and needs help and they aren't in view of the other(s) they get the outline of their teammates. Well last night I was playing and this exact thing happened. My friend went down and I was around another side of the building trying to kill infected that were around me 360 degrees. All my friend saw was me standing in one spot spinning and he started screaming into the mic STOP STANDING THERE AND COME SAVE ME!!! So we both started screaming at each other until I went down as well. It was one of those moments you only find in great co-op games.

The guide is excellent Spive. One addition that might be very useful (at least for me) is a strategy section for the finale of each campaign.
